Terms of Service
- The product is free, and provided as it is.
- It reduces the chance of sensitive information being sent to an AI service. It will not catch everything, and you remain responsible for what you send.
- If you run an organisation in it, you are responsible for using its reporting lawfully and for telling your members about it.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms
The product is provided by VIRADOTECH COMPANY LIMITED, a company registered in Ghana (“Viradotech”, “we”). By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you use the product for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms on its behalf.
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
2. What the product does, and what it does not
The extension checks what you are about to send to supported AI services, and attachments you add, against a data-protection policy. Depending on the policy, it can anonymise, warn about or block that content before it is sent.
Please understand its limits:
- Detection is based on patterns and rules. It can miss sensitive information, and it can flag information that is not sensitive.
- It works only on the supported AI services listed in the Privacy Policy, and only in Chrome where it is installed and enabled. AI services change their websites, which can stop protection working on a site until we update the extension.
- If the extension is updated while a tab is open, that tab is not protected until it is reloaded. The extension tells you when this happens.
- The product is not legal or compliance advice. Using it does not by itself make you or your organisation compliant with any law, regulation, professional rule or contract, and it does not replace your own policies, training and judgement.
You remain responsible for the content you choose to send to any AI service.
3. Accounts
- The extension works without an account. An account is needed for organisation policies and reporting.
- Give accurate information, keep your password private and tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused. We recommend turning on two-step verification.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Organisations and administrators
If you create or administer an organisation, you decide its policies, its members’ roles and whether reporting is required. When reporting is required, records of members’ protection decisions are sent to the organisation while they work under it. They contain no prompt text and no file contents (see the Privacy Policy).
As an administrator, you are responsible for:
- having a lawful basis for that reporting under the laws that apply to you and your members;
- telling your members that the product is in use and what it reports;
- who you invite, and the roles you give them.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the product to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights;
- try to gain access to accounts, organisations or data that are not yours;
- attack, overload or disrupt the service, or try to get around its security or rate limits;
- use it to monitor people in a way the law does not allow.
We may suspend or close an account or organisation that breaks these terms or puts the service or its users at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
6. AI services
We are not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, Perplexity or Mistral. The product runs inside your own sessions on their services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Price and changes to the product
The product is currently free. We may add, change or remove features, or stop providing the product. If we stop, or introduce charges for features you already use, we will give reasonable notice first. We will never charge you without your agreement.
8. Ownership
We own the product and its software. You keep ownership of your own content and data. You give us only the permission needed to store and process your account and organisation data to provide the product, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the product is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that it will detect all sensitive information, be uninterrupted or be free of errors.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Viradotech is not liable for:
- any loss caused by information sent to an AI service or anyone else, whether or not the product detected it;
- indirect or consequential loss, or loss of profit, business, data or reputation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded.
11. Ending these terms
You can stop using the product at any time by uninstalling the extension. To have your account deleted, email virgil@viradotech.com. We may end these terms as described in sections 5 and 7.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will give notice before it takes effect, for example on this page or in the dashboard. If you keep using the product after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and disputes will be heard by the courts of Ghana. This does not remove any right you have to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live, where the law gives you that right.
